We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time, subject to applicable law.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of the Services, use of the Services, or access to the Services, including any contact information obtained through the Site, without our express written permission.

You understand that any content you submit (excluding credit card information) may be transferred unencrypted and involve transmissions over various networks, as well as technical modifications required to conform to connecting systems. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

Account creation is optional. When creating an account, you must provide your name, email address, and a password (your “Credentials”). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Credentials and for all activities conducted under your account. You agree to notify Artisan Chemist immediately of any unauthorised access or security breach.

Headings used in these Terms are included for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

The Site contains general information relating to health, wellbeing, and pharmaceutical products. Content may include information about medical or health conditions, treatments, nutrition, or products, and may be written or reviewed by qualified pharmacists or other health professionals using academic and reference materials.

All such information is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and should not be relied upon as such. You should always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional regarding any medical condition or treatment.

Do not disregard, avoid, or delay obtaining medical advice from your healthcare provider because of something you have read on this Site. If you have any questions about your health or any products purchased from us, please contact us so we may refer your enquiry to a Pharmacist, or consult your doctor or other qualified health practitioner.

Your use of any information or materials on this Site is entirely at your own risk. No practitioner–patient or confidential relationship is created through your use of the Site or our Services. We do not recommend or endorse any specific tests, healthcare professionals, treatments, or opinions that may appear on the Site.

Medical knowledge and research are continually evolving. We make no assurance that all information provided on the Site reflects the most current developments or findings.

Certain products or Services may be available exclusively online through our Site. These products may have limited quantities and are subject to return or exchange only in accordance with our Returns & Exchange Policy.

All products are custom made to order and are only processed once your order has been confirmed and payment received. Processing times vary depending on the product. Estimated timeframes are noted on each product page but are indicative only and may vary depending on supplier availability, ingredient sourcing, or other circumstances beyond our control. Should delays occur, we will notify you as soon as practicable. Artisan Chemist is not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by delays or our inability to supply an item due to factors outside our reasonable control.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any product or Service (or any part or content thereof) at any time without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuation of any product or Service.

Prices displayed on the Site include Goods and Services Tax (GST) where applicable. Some products, such as prescription-only medicines and certain compounded preparations, are GST-free under Australian law. Any GST charged will be indicated on your tax invoice.

Prices are current at the time of publication but may change without notice, and product availability is subject to change. Prices of products placed in the cart but not yet paid for are also subject to change, and you agree to pay the price current at the time of payment. Prices listed on a quote remain valid for 28 days from the date of issue; once expired, a new quote must be requested by you.

Placing an order on the Site constitutes an offer by you to purchase the selected product at the price shown, or if quoted separately, at the quoted price (including delivery and other applicable charges). Receipt of an electronic order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order.

By placing an order, you agree to pay for and accept delivery of the goods ordered. Artisan Chemist reserves the right to accept or reject any order for any reason, including (without limitation) product unavailability, pricing or description error, order inaccuracies, prior refusal of orders, or suspected breach of these Terms or related policies.

We may require additional verification or information before accepting any order, as determined at our discretion. You are responsible for providing accurate and current contact, billing, and payment details when placing an order.

If we need to verify, modify, or cancel an order, we may contact you using the email address, billing address, or phone number provided. Requests to amend or cancel orders may not be accommodated if production has already commenced or materials have been prepared.

We may, at our discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, household, or order. These restrictions may include orders placed under the same account, credit card, billing address, or shipping address. Orders appearing to be placed by dealers, resellers, or distributors may be refused.

If an item is required urgently, it is the Client’s responsibility to notify us at the time of ordering. We will advise whether faster processing or dispatch is possible, although this cannot be guaranteed and must be confirmed by Artisan Chemist prior to order acceptance.

We will endeavour to fulfil your order as specified in these Terms, except:

(a) where an incorrect or incomplete delivery address has been provided;

(b) when incorrect payment details, including credit card details, are supplied;

(c) where correct credit card details are supplied but funds are not approved;

(d) where we believe the order to be fraudulent; or

(e) where cleared funds through your nominated payment method have not been received.

Artisan Chemist will use the most recent contact information provided by the Client for all communications. It is your responsibility to ensure that your details, including name, phone number, email address, and postal address, are accurate and up to date.

Requests to amend personal or contact details must be made in writing, preferably via email to info@artisanchemist.com.au, and will only take effect once confirmed in writing by Artisan Chemist. We accept no responsibility for failed communication, missed correspondence, or disclosure of information sent in good faith to the most recently provided contact details.

Artisan Chemist will not make changes to Client information at the request of a third party unless that person is legally authorised to act on the Client’s behalf (for example, a parent or guardian of a minor, or an authorised representative under written consent). We reserve the right to verify identity before processing any update or releasing information.

Where relevant, you may be required to provide medical history or health-related information to enable the safe preparation and supply of compounded medicines or related Services. It is your responsibility to provide complete and accurate information. Artisan Chemist relies on the information you provide and is not liable for any delays, inaccuracies, or adverse outcomes resulting from incomplete, false, or misleading information.

We accept all major credit cards including Visa and Mastercard. There is no surcharge for Visa or Mastercard transactions.

Please ensure your name, billing address and telephone number match the information held by your card issuer, as incorrect details may cause error on checkout or delay order processing.

Your credit card will be billed as soon as:
(a) your order is placed for products ordered directly from our website;
(b) upon completing online checkout for products where you have received a quote from us; or
(c) upon your telephone or in-person payment of a quote or order via our physical store.

Payments made by credit card are processed securely through Eway, a third-party payment gateway. Eway is a Level 1 Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant provider, and adheres to the highest global standards of data security. Artisan Chemist does not collect or store your credit card details at any stage of the payment process. For more information about Eway, visit the Eway Website.

Any refund will be processed in accordance with Section 10 (Returns and Exchange Policy) of these Terms.

For your convenience we offer third party payment options including Afterpay. By choosing to use one of these payment systems, you are agreeing to payment terms between you, the customer, and the payment system you select. For full terms and conditions, please refer to their website:

Gift cards may be redeemed online only. Purchases are deducted from the gift card balance up to its balance. Any unused balance will be available for a later purchase. If an order exceeds the amount of the gift card, the balance must be paid with a credit card or other form of payment. Gift cards cannot be used to purchase other gift cards. Gift cards cannot be reloaded, resold, transferred for value, or applied to any other account, except to the extent required by law.

It may take up to one hour for your gift card to be activated. You will receive an email when the activation is complete, please be sure to check your spam folder. If you require further assistance, please contact us.

Gift cards are to be treated as cash. Defaced, mutilated, altered, lost, or stolen cards will not be replaced, refunded or redeemed. We are also not responsible for cards that are used without authorisation, so please safeguard your gift card and keep the redemption code secret.

You are liable for all transactions on your card except to the extent to which there has been fraud or negligence by us or any of our employees. Artisan Chemist is not responsible and will not redeem the balance on gift cards purchased from any unauthorised third party, such as eBay or Craigslist. We have the right to request alternative forms of payment if a fraudulently obtained gift card is used to make purchases on the Site.

Gift Card balance must be redeemed before the expiry date shown on the card. Gift card balance has an expiry of 36 months (3 years). It is the responsibility of the gift card recipient to use the full value of a gift card before the expiry date. Unused balance upon expiry of a gift card will not be refunded or credited. 

Artisan Chemist gift cards sold on our Site are issued by Shopify Inc on behalf of Artisan Chemist. Gift cards and the purchase, use or acceptance on the Site are subject to Shopify’s Gift Card Service Terms (available at: www.shopify.com/legal/terms-gift-cards) in addition to the Terms described here, and our Privacy Policy. Artisan Chemist may provide gift card purchasers with information about the redemption status of gift cards in its sole discretion.

Each purchase will be posted as a separate order and cannot be combined.

We use express delivery services so that compounded medicines reach you quickly and do not spend unnecessary time in warehouses or transit. For this reason, we are unable to offer standard postage options such as parcel post.

Delivery estimates are based on information provided to us by third-party delivery services and are subject to change. Artisan Chemist cannot guarantee delivery within a specific timeframe, as delays may occur due to courier network congestion, weather events, or other circumstances beyond our control.

Once an order has been despatched, ownership and risk in the goods pass to the Client to the extent permitted by law. From that point, responsibility for the parcel rests with the courier or postal service. Artisan Chemist accepts no liability for loss, delay, theft, damage, or redirection occurring after despatch. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

It is the Client’s responsibility to contact the relevant courier directly for any post-despatch enquiries or requests, including but not limited to redirection, re-delivery, rebooking, or collection arrangements. Any costs, fees, or charges arising from such requests are the sole responsibility of the Client. Artisan Chemist is unable to authorise, manage, or guarantee any changes once the parcel has been collected by the delivery provider.

We will provide tracking information and reasonable assistance to help you contact the delivery service; however, Artisan Chemist cannot intervene in or control courier operations once the parcel is in transit.

Parcels require a signature on receipt. We recommend providing a work address for delivery if no one is home during business hours. Where no one is available to sign, a collection card will be left with instructions for collection during normal business hours. At this time, we are unable to offer an “Authority to Leave (ATL)” option at checkout.

Artisan Chemist is not responsible for delivery errors resulting from incorrect or incomplete address details supplied by the Client. Orders returned due to incorrect address, failure to collect, or refusal to accept delivery will incur re-delivery and handling fees payable before re-shipment.

Returns and exchanges will only be accepted in accordance with our Returns & Exchange Policy.

Refunds, where approved, will be processed to your original method of payment via our secure payment provider. Refunds cannot be issued in cash, to a different card, or via any alternative payment method. Refund processing times may vary depending on your financial institution, but generally take between 3-5 business days to settle.

Any personal information collected by us through your use of this website will be dealt with in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may provide access to third-party tools, applications, or resources over which we have no control, monitoring, or input. These tools and integrations are provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties, representations, or conditions of any kind and without any endorsement by us. Your use of such tools is entirely at your own discretion and risk. You should ensure that you understand and agree to the terms on which any third-party provider offers its tools or services before use.

Certain content, products, or services available via our Site may include materials from, or links to, third parties. These links are provided solely for your convenience and do not imply endorsement, approval, or responsibility on our part for the linked sites or their operators. We are not responsible for examining, monitoring, or evaluating the accuracy, legality, or reliability of any third-party content, materials, or websites, and we make no warranties and accept no liability for them.

We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your dealings with third parties, including but not limited to purchases, use of goods or services, reliance on information, or participation in promotions offered by those third parties. Any complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products or services should be directed to the relevant third party.

You may create a text link to our Site for non-commercial purposes, provided that the link is fair and lawful and does not damage or take advantage of our reputation. We reserve the right to revoke linking permission at any time in our sole discretion. Upon request, you must immediately remove or disable any link to our Site.

We may, in the future, introduce new tools, integrations, or features through the Site. Such new services and functionalities will also be subject to these Terms and any additional terms we specify at the time of release.

Occasionally there may be information on our Site that contains typographical or photographic errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, product shipping charges, transit times and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions, and to change or update information or cancel orders if any information on the Site is inaccurate at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).

We undertake no obligation to update, amend or clarify information on the Site, including without limitation, pricing information, except as required by law. No specified update or refresh date applied on the Site should be taken to indicate that all information on the Site has been modified or updated.

Certain Services on the Site may have additional terms (such as policies and guidelines) that will further govern your use of that particular Service and supplement these Terms. If you choose to register for or access any such Service, you will be presented with any relevant additional terms and conditions at that time. By using those Services, you agree to comply with such additional guidelines and rules.

The Site and Services, including the information provided on the Site, are designed for and intended for users in Australia only. We make no representation that the Site or Services are applicable to, appropriate for, or available to users in locations outside Australia. Accessing the Site and Services from territories where the content is illegal is prohibited. If you choose to access the Site and Services from a location outside Australia you do so on your own initiative and you are responsible for compliance with local laws.

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to limit the sales of our products or Services to any person, geographic region or jurisdiction. We may exercise this right on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products or services that we offer. All descriptions of products or product pricing are subject to change at any time without notice, at the sole discretion of us. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time. Any offer for any product or service made on this site is void where prohibited.

We may offer competitions or promotions on the Site. These shall be governed by specific rules accessible from the page offering the competition or promotion and will be presented to you at the time you choose to participate.

Unless otherwise specified, all material appearing on this Site, including the text, site design, logos, graphics, icons and images, photographs, graphics, typefaces and other material (collectively "Content") as well as the selection, assembly and arrangement thereof is subject to applicable copyright laws. All audio and video clips are the sole property of Artisan Chemist, or their respective content providers. All software used on the Site is the property of Artisan Chemist or its licensors. You acknowledge that the Site contains Content, audio and video clips, and software that are protected by copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights, and that these rights are valid and may be protected in all forms, media and technologies which exist now or are developed in the future.

All trademarks appearing on the Site are the property of their respective owners, including, without limitation, Artisan Chemist. No right, licence or interest to such trademarks is granted by this Agreement. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved. Any unauthorised use of the materials appearing on this Site may violate copyright, trademark and other applicable laws.

We give you permission to use the Content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may also print, download, and store articles and other information for your own convenience, but you may not distribute, republish (except as permitted in this paragraph), sell, mine, exploit, frame or scrape any of the Content, or exploit the Content for commercial gain without the prior written consent of Artisan Chemist.

In addition to other prohibitions as set forth in the Terms, you are prohibited from using the site or its content:
(a) for any unlawful purpose;
(b) to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts;
(c) to violate any international, federal, provincial or state regulations, rules, laws, or local ordinances;
(d) to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others;
(e) to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability;
(f) to submit false or misleading information;
(g) to upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Service or of any related website, other websites, or the Internet;
(h) to collect or track the personal information of others;
(i) to spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape;

You may not use contact information provided by our users, or harvest information about our users, for the purpose of sending, or to facilitate the sending, of unsolicited bulk communications such as SPAM or SPIM. You may not allow others to use your account to violate the terms of this section. We may terminate your account or access to the Site immediately and take other legal action if you or anyone using your Credentials violates these provisions.

You may not use any robot, spider, scraper or other automated means to access the Site or Services for any purpose without our express written permission.

We may take any legal or technical steps necessary to prevent misuse of the website, protect our systems, or enforce these Terms.

We do not guarantee, represent, or warrant that your use of our Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that you will be able to access or use the Site (either directly or through third-party networks) at times or locations of your choosing. We do not warrant that the results obtained from the use of the Services will be effective, reliable, accurate, or meet your requirements.

From time to time, we may suspend or discontinue the Services, in whole or in part, without notice. You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the Site or the Services is at your sole risk. The Site, the Services, and all products delivered through them are provided “as is” and “as available” without any representation, warranty, or condition of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.

No oral or written information provided by any representative of Artisan Chemist shall create a warranty unless expressly stated in writing by us. Except as required under the Australian Consumer Law (available at www.accc.gov.au), we make no representations or warranties, express or implied, in relation to any products sold on the Site.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the sole and exclusive liability of Artisan Chemist for any claim arising out of or in connection with a product sold on the Site shall be limited to the price paid for that product. In no event shall Artisan Chemist, its directors, officers, employees, or representatives be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive damages related to the use of the Site, the Services, or any products purchased.

In no case shall Artisan Chemist, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the Services or any products procured using the Services, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the Services or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the Site or Services, even if advised of their possibility.

Your sole and exclusive remedy for any dispute with us or our contributors is by immediately discontinuing your use of the Site. We shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, consequential or exemplary damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site and Services.

These Terms are effective unless and until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate these Terms at any time by notifying us that you no longer wish to use our Services, or when you cease using our Site.

If, in our sole judgement, you fail, or we suspect that you have failed, to comply with any term or provision of these Terms, we also may terminate this agreement at any time without notice and you will remain liable for all amounts due up to and including the date of termination; and/or accordingly may deny you access to our Services or Site (or any part thereof).

Upon request by Artisan Chemist, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Artisan Chemist Pty Ltd, its parent company, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, and employees from and against any and all liabilities, losses, damages, claims, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your breach of these Terms, your use or misuse of the Site or the Services, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

Artisan Chemist reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume exclusive control of the defence and settlement of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you. In such cases, you agree to cooperate fully with Artisan Chemist in the defence of such matters.

In the event that any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.

The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

This contract and any supplemental terms, policies, rules and guidelines posted on the Site constitute the entire agreement between you and us and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms ).

Any ambiguities in the interpretation of these Terms shall not be construed against the drafting party.

You agree that the law of the State of Queensland, Australia governs these Terms and any claim or dispute that you may have against us. You further agree that any disputes or claims that you may have against us will be resolved by a court located in Queensland.
